Cozumel Beaches
Cozumel boasts some of the most beautiful beaches in Mexico - if not the whole Caribbean! Playa Palancar and Playa Mia are particularly popular for swimming and relaxing. If you fancy somewhere a little more quiet, head to the lovely Punta Sur in the south of the island.

Cozumel Diving & Snorkelling
Cozumel is a divers paradise, famous for its vibrant coral reefs & exceptional visibility. With the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef right on your doorstep, expect to be simply blown away by world-class dive sites like Palancar Reef and Columbia Reef. Paddle boarding & kite surfing are also fun things to try.

History & Sightseeing
Cozumel offers lots of exciting history: There are several sites where you can explore ancient Mayan ruins, such as at San Gervasio. In San Miguel, it's worth paying a visit to the fascinating Cozumel Museum. Dont miss the famous El Cedral, a small Mayan village with ruins and traditional charm.
Tip: When planning your sightseeing, choose days when there are no cruise ships in port.

Punta Sur Ecological Park
Get up early one morning and head to Punta Sur: There you'll find not only a beautiful beach but also a gorgeous nature sport, home to lush mangroves, lagoons, and a lighthouse with stunning views.

Unique Food & Drink
Not your average Mexican! Cozumels cuisine put its own unique Caribbean twist on traditional Mexican flavours. Try ceviche made with really fresh seafood (just as it should be!) and sample local dishes like Cochinita Pibil. For relaxing afternoons, treat yourself to a nice margarita or enjoy a cold beer from Cozumel's very own Cervecería Punta Sur microbrewery.

Best time to visit: late November till May. Peak season, when the island is most crowded, is December - March.
