Visit Penguin Island!
Seen something on the news lately that's made you think, "I'd love to see some penguins!" Us too! There are these Australian-owned islands with oodles of penguins & seals... And not much else, really, as it turns out. :) So we don't propose that you should go on holiday there, but there is a fabulous alternative option!

Head to the city of Melbourne: This friendly metropolis full of lush parks will keep you busy sightseeing, picture-taking & enjoying fab food & trendy shops for days & days! And when you've had enough of the hustle & bustle, take a trip out to Penguin Island - or, rather, Phillip Island. You can go by car or catch the bus - it's so worth the effort!

Phillip Island is home to the largest colony of Little Penguins in the world. There are 40,000 of them, and they "parade"!! As you can imagine, Phillip Island is a huge attraction. It's also a nature park, home to a koala sanctuary & lots more, as well as the penguins, so we recommend spending a whole day there to make the most of this beautiful place. The big penguin parade happens at sunset, so you may want to stay locally overnight (we have added an accommodation link below).

Then, back to Melbourne again!
