Fly To Fuerteventura
Originally named Forte Ventura, "great fortune", Fuerteventura is a treasure to be discovered to this day. Those who want to get away from the crowds that throng some of the other Canary Islands, will find beautiful nature and a peaceful haven here.

It is well-worth spending a week (or two!) on Fuerteventura. As the second-largest of the Canaries, you will find a host of fun activities to choose from here, as well as the opportunity to simply relax and listen to the sound of the waves. Here are some of the things we love most about Fuerteventura.

Sotavento Beach
Simply miles of golden sand... literally! Its pristine beaches make Fuerteventura a paradise for any beach lover, and this is the greatest of them all: The truly stunning Sotavento beach features a breathtaking 9 km of golden sands at low tide.

Corralejo
Located on the northeast coast of Fuerteventura, Corralejo is the perfect place to spend a magical day: Here you will find Corralejo Natural Park, home to rare wildlife and Montaña Roja, a volcano with stunning views.

On Corralejo's huge beach, you will never struggle to find a space for your towel. For the kiddies, there is an aqua park. And, if you get a bit peckish, head into town, where you will find a multitude of cafés, bars & eateries.

Parque Natural de Jandía
For those who love hiking & biking, the Parque Natural de Jandía is a must. Its landscape ranges from beaches to scrubland, to mountain. Birdwatchers will be in their element with the huge variety of species that can be spotted here!

Watersports
Fuerteventura is one of THE best spots in Europe for kitesurfing & windsurfing. Head to Flag Beach if you're planning on trying those activities for the first time. Or, if you have your own equipment (or are renting), you could make your way to magnificent Sotavento or Jarugo beach.

Stargazing
After a busy day exploring, kitesurfing or lying on the beach relaxing (there are all sorts of 'busy' after all!), you have one more thing to look forward to: Fuerteventura's gorgeous dark skies. There are numerous spots on the island where there is virtually no light pollution, just you & billions of stars!
