Oban is a traditional Scottish port town, with its name meaning “little bay”. Its affectionately known as the Gateway to the Isles, as you can hop on a number of ferries and travel to the stunning islands of the Inner and Outer Hebrides.

Youll also find a local distillery, a chocolate shop and a museum amongst charming pubs and cafés in the town centre.

To get to Oban, we suggest flying into Glasgow and then taking the West Highland Line, which is said to be one of the most picturesque train journeys in Scotland.
